It’s that time of year - we either look back at 2021 or forward to 2022. I prefer to look ahead!
So what’s in store for UK workers and employers over the next 12 months? In addition to the usual statutory increases and the possible implementation of rights set out below, I believe 2022 is going to be a very busy year for new rules and regulations because of a particularly virulent virus.
The vaccination programme is going full steam and it won’t be too long until all those who wish to be vaccinated have received all three doses - possibly more. But there will still be a significant number who are not vaccinated for one reason or another, so the government will look to see what measures can be taken to ‘persuade’ them to take up the offer of inoculation.
