So I thought I would give you my top 10 tips for ensuring you are up to speed with your rights at work. Of course, there are many, many more, but in no particular order:
1. Know your employment status
Your rights and responsibilities as a worker depend on your employment status, which can be an employee, worker, or self-employed contractor. Ensure you understand your status to know your rights and obligations.
2. Understand your employment contract
Make sure to read and understand your employment contract before signing it. This document will outline the terms and conditions of your employment, including pay, hours, holiday entitlement, and termination clauses.
