Tribunals are free to the end user and are an effective way to secure outstanding pay
Today’s case is nothing out of the ordinary, but I wanted to briefly take a look to show how simple it can be to make a tribunal claim for payments that should have been made.
Cases such as this are simple to deal with, can generally be handled in a day and rarely require the parties to attend the tribunal. Many such claims are even settled before the need for a hearing. In a significant number of cases, such as the one I am looking at today, they are dealt with extremely quickly because the defendant, or respondent as they are referred to in an employment tribunal, fail to put in an answer to the claim.
